Christina Applegate has an impressive acting career. She is also a wife and a mom of one. The movie star is married to Martyn LeNoble. Both Martyn, a musician and bassist, and Christina were previously married.
The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2010 after dating for two years. A few months after their engagement, Christina’s representative confirmed that she was pregnant. The two weren’t married yet and hadn’t set their wedding date.
Before they tied the knot, the pair welcomed their baby. Christina’s representative, Ame Van Iden, shared that the actress gave birth to a baby girl on January 27, 2011, in Los Angeles. Martyn and Christina welcomed their daughter, whom they named, Sadie Grace LeNoble, with joy.
Christina welcomed motherhood, having gone through a tough time when she underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. Martyn LeNoble was supportive of Christina throughout her recovery process. The two eventually got married on February 23, 2013.
When Sadie was three weeks old, Christina appeared on “The Ellen Show” and spoke of her labor process and the moment she held her daughter in her arms. The actress was so overcome with emotion that she laid her baby on her chest. She didn’t mind that the medical professionals could see her double mastectomy scars. “It was the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” she gushed.
Christina also told People that when she first held Sadie, she felt her heart open up for the first time and wrap itself around her daughter. “It was profound. And I’m more in love with her every minute of the day,” she admitted.

At home, the actress said she wanted to be “the ultimate burper and diaper-changer.” Sometimes, she’d feel like she wasn’t burping her correctly, but when she’d hear a belch come out Sadie, she’d feel like they’d accomplished the goal together.
Christina also said that motherhood changed her. When she was diagnosed with cancer and beat it, she recalled saying the name of the illness more than she’d ever had to talk about a word in her whole life.
Thank you @ICanSeeTH and doctor @kenjeong for the cookies. She’s in heaven. Don’t mind the weird chalk writing behind her. pic.twitter.com/GetcUiQ327

After a while, the actress told herself there had to be something else about her other than cancer. With Sadie in her life, the new word she could focus on was mom. “Yeah, now I’m Mom. She’s healed me in so many ways. She’s just made my life so much better. She’s opened my whole soul,” she divulged.
In 2021, Christina was devastated when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). She explained that with MS, one never has a good day. The things she had taken for granted, including taking a shower without falling and slipping and her legs buckling, had become difficult.
MS also impacted how she could take care of Sadie. “I can bring up food to my kid. Up, never down,” she lamented. Christina can no longer go down the stairs, drive long-distance, or carry things around.
Guys. I was on a rant. But if you can stay home, do. It’s the only way we can make this shit stop. Here is a pic of my kid. Corona times pic.twitter.com/7c8fjvTVVx

Taking care of her daughter is a priority for Christina. In 2015, the actress shared a rare picture of her daughter on her husband’s shoulder as they celebrated pride. She wrote that she usually doesn’t post Sadie, but her photo holding a pride flag in celebration needed to be shared.
