Snoop Dogg’s 24-year-old daughter recently suffered a “severe” health issue. A friend of hers has asked for the public to pray for Cori Broadus.
The daughter of iconic musician Snoop Dogg and entrepreneur Shanté Broadus has tragically endured a serious health complication. Cori Broadus, 24, took to her Instagram Story to share the news that she has suffered a stroke.
One of her friends, Itali Miller, posted about the health scare on her own social media account, in support of Cori. She shared a picture of Cori with a message asking people to send their well wishes to her friend.
Before Itali’s supportive post, Cori’s announcement, which was made yesterday, disclosed, “I had a severe stroke this am…I started breaking down crying when they told me.” In another part of her Instagram Story, Cori, who wore a blue mask and pink hoodie, expressed, “Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
In a post that Itali shared afterward, she addressed the public, “Please send her all your love and prayers for a speedy recovery…We love you beautiful! 💓🐘 @princessbroadus.” The image Itali accompanied with her heartfelt message showed a smiling Cori lying in a hospital bed, holding onto an elephant plush toy.
Itali has not been the only person uplifting her friend during this challenging time, as Cori’s loving fiancé has also shown her support. In a post he made to his Instagram Story yesterday, Wayne Polk posted a heartwarming photograph of him and Cori embracing.
In his caption, he called her the “strongest person” he knows. Wayne and Cori have been engaged since November 2022.
Sadly, Cori’s recent stroke is not the first health issue the 24-year-old has faced in her life. At just six years old, the young musician was diagnosed with lupus. Last year, she conducted an interview where she opened up about how she has been coping with the health ailment all these years.
During the discussion, Cori divulged, “I’ve had medication since I was 6 years old…I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I’m only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold Turkey.”
Cori Broadus made a decision to stop taking her medication several months ago and instead adopted more natural and holistic forms of treatment, like drinking herbal teas, lots of water, and staying active. As a result of the things she decided to change, the “Do My Thang” artist reported feeling much better than she did before.
However, she also highlighted her awareness that making necessary changes to her lifestyle is a continued learning process.
In this regard, the rap mogul’s daughter clarified that while she has moments of feeling good, she also still has moments where she struggles both physically and mentally with her illness.
