A devoted dad who works 15-hour days in the po.n industry insists he’s a family man who never misses his son’s footie matches.
Jacob Rivera, who doesn’t drink, smoke or party, says no one would guess his job when he’s standing pitch-side cheering on his son. The 43-year-old has been in the adult industry for 26 years with his first day on set just a day after he turned 18.
Interestingly, his passion for po.n is a family affair with his dad, two cousins, and younger brother all having starred in such films. Jacob and his older brother, however, prefer to be behind the camera, running their search engine, Filthy Kings.
He said: “I knew about my family working in po.n from a young age. It wasn’t taboo or strange in our household.”
He added: “After my 18th birthday, I was asked to work as a set runner. What teenager doesn’t want to earn $150 a day to be around naked women and fun people? I have always loved problem-solving and working with equipment and using my hands, so it was the technical side of filming that really caught my eye.
“I learned about production, picked up a camera and sound skills, and earned good money. Once older, I considered moving industry to film for commercials and music videos, but they are long days with complicated payment terms.
“For a po.n shoot, the time on set is short and the money is better and paid faster.” Living in Miami, dubbed the “OnlyFans capital of the US”, Jacob shares his home with his wife and their two sons aged 16 and 22.
Although Jacob admits he is a workaholic, the dad creates his schedule around his family. He said: “When I’m not filming or working on the business I am a normal guy.
“I go to my son’s soccer matches, I work out, and I don’t take my wife on enough date nights. My wife and I met through my mum, who met her while out shopping.
“They got to talking and mum came home and said ‘I’ve met the perfect girl for you’ and gave me her phone number. At the time, my now-wife was working as a dental hygienist and supporting her four year old son as a single mum.
“We met for a coffee and it felt magical we sparked. She says what won her heart is how much I asked about her son and their little family.
“Our next date was a road trip to Disney and Seaworld in Florida with her boy, and he had a blast. I was making good money and didn’t mind spoiling them. Seventeen years later, we are still together.”
