Maria eagerly awaited the birth of her child. In the ninth month of pregnancy, her contractions began. Her husband drove her to the hospital, and she gave birth to a son. The young couple was overjoyed to become parents. The discharge from the hospital took place three days later. A nurse took the baby for the final routine checkup and soon returned with him. However, when Maria looked at the child, she screamed, “This is not my child! You brought me someone else’s baby!”
The nurse was surprised and calmly replied, “This is your child. I couldn’t have made a mistake.” Then Maria began undressing the baby. “What are you doing?” the nurse asked. “I’m proving to you that this is not my child.
