Arnold Schwarzeneggar has shown he has a heart of gold with a sweet gesture for children in the run up to Christmas.
While Arnold Schwarzeneggar certainly used to scare millions with his Terminator character, a new generation of children are seeing a sweeter side to the actor and former politician.
On his social media channels, Schwarzeneggar shared a video of himself at 42nd annual Miracle On First Street event at the Hollenbeck Youth Center in Los Angeles.
Here he gifted children in need a bunch of presents and chatted with parents and staff while posing for pictures.
Speaking about why he does this every year, he explained he wanted to repay the generosity he had received when he arrived in the country.
“When I came to this country my friends from Gold’s Gym had a huge Christmas for me and invited me to their house. It was fantastic. They gave me Christmas gifts and they had this beautiful Christmas tree, and I felt so included here in America even though I was a foreigner and just came to this country,’ he recalled while at the youth centre.”
Social media users praised Schwarzeneggar for his generosity and called on other users to think about how they can help out others during the holiday period.
“I had the honor of being hired as a photographer for one of your events at the Orange County High Schools for the Arts. You were kind to everyone who wanted a moment with you. You’re an inspiration & a wonderful person. Thanks for what you do, I will give back as I’m able,” one user wrote.
“What an amazing American the governor is be like Arnold folks. Be proud of where you come from, be proud to be an American. And give back, embrace your fellow man,” another wrote.
“You’re such an inspiration! I loved your book so much, I’m giving copies of it to my adult children for Christmas. Your gratitude, honesty, and humility are admirable. God bless you and merry Christmas,” praised another.
“A very Merry Christmas to you too Arnold Schwarzenegger. And we’ll continue to keep giving back in 2024 too,” praised another.
“Your the man Arnold! Thank you for giving back to California youth! They absolutely need it,” simply put another.
The gesture has certainly brought out a lot of people’s Christmas spirit.
No matter how small – if you are able to – do consider helping someone out this holiday season.
