Joe BIDEN has tested positive for COVID-19
President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday while delivering speeches in Las Vegas, the White House announced.
Biden, experiencing mild symptoms, will return to Delaware to self-isolate but will continue his duties fully, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Despite being vaccinated and boosted, Biden developed a runny nose and a non-productive cough, leading to a positive Covid-19 test. He has started Paxlovid treatment and will isolate at his home in Rehoboth.
Biden missed his scheduled speech at the UnidosUS Annual Conference in Las Vegas, where UnidosUS President Janet Murguia announced his positive test.
This diagnosis comes amid increasing pressure from Democratic allies for Biden, 81, to reconsider his presidential run against Republican nominee Donald Trump, following concerns about his fitness to campaign.
