Mum struggling to buy kids’ Christmas presents turns to adult site to buy gifts
A mum-of-four previously unable to afford Christmas presents for her kids now showers them with extravagant gifts thanks to turning to an adult site.
Courtney Tillia’s luck came after she left her teaching jobs to join OnlyFans, where her risqué photos proved highly profitable. And, reflecting on her past struggles to the Daily Star, she admitted to feeling liberated having previously relied on family support to make ends meet.
The 34-year-old from Los Angeles revealed the holiday season used to be a source of immense stress for her and her husband due to financial limitations, but that’s no longer the case.
“Our kids were still pretty little at that time, but our families helped out quite a bit by providing presents for our kids,” she told the Daily Star in 2021.
“I remember in 2015, going to the dollar store with $20 to get little presents for our kids’ stockings. Dinners and meals were always things I could throw together. One week, we only had $20 to feed our family of six and three dogs!
“It was hard, but we always made it work.”
Courtney said she was feeling “depressed, anxious, and resentful” in her teaching role, prompting her to make a pivotal decision in 2016 to quit and pursue a career as a life coach.
Her foray into OnlyFans began in 2019, where she amassed an impressive 25,000 subscribers across two pages. The move proved lucrative, earning her a monthly revenue ranging from $40,000 to $100,000.
“I was hoping to make $500 a month to pay for a car payment and insurance. I had no idea it was lucrative as it is or that all of this was possible,” she said, while adding she was able to splurge $5,000 on her kids for Christmas.
She said at the time: “This year for Christmas my kids will be getting a VR set, electric scooters, dartboard, Harry Potter robes and wands.
