“Love Unveiled”: Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Open Up About Their Journey on Debut Podcast Episode

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, former hosts of GMA3, talked openly about their relationship on the debut episode of their new podcast, “Amy and T.J.,” released on December 5th.

In the podcast, they discussed their departure from GMA3, stating they lost their jobs because of their romantic involvement. Robach, 50, and Holmes, 46, described the past year as challenging but emphasized their love for each other. They admitted that relationships are tough and messy but expressed happiness and love for each other.

The podcast launch date coincidentally marked one year since they were put on hiatus from GMA3 due to their workplace romance. The decision was made by ABC News President Kim Godwin, aiming to minimize unwanted attention. Robach and Holmes officially left the series in January.

Robach and Holmes confirmed their relationship on Instagram on November 1 and announced the podcast venture. The podcast covers their journey and relationship, with the first episode addressing the challenges they faced and their plans for the future.

The public first learned about their romance in November 2022 when photos surfaced, leading to speculation about an affair. However, they clarified on the podcast that they were already in the process of divorcing their respective spouses when the news broke. Robach had separated from her actor husband Andrew Shue, while Holmes was in the midst of divorcing his attorney wife Marilee Fiebig.

The couple explained that they had planned to reveal their relationship after finalizing their divorces and even drafted a press release that they never sent out. They emphasized that they were not cheating on their spouses and were living separately at the time the news broke.

Since going public, Robach and Holmes have become more comfortable sharing their relationship in public. They recently made their red carpet debut as a couple at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2023. The couple concluded the podcast by joking about the idea of calling it “Scandal-less” since their situation was not as scandalous as perceived by the public.
